Believe it or not, the diagnosis was a relief
I remember being very relieved when I was finally diagnosed. I'd had several years to let the idea of multiple sclerosis sink in, something that doesn't happen for a lot of patients. It was almost anticlimactic. I'd been telling people for a couple of years that I had "probable MS." It was a form of closure to finally say, "Yes, I HAVE MS."
