About Me

I'm a simple gal from central Oklahoma where the sky is huge and the summers are hot. A musician since the age of seven and a cat owner since the age of six, I spend my time connecting with those who share interests such as music, books, animals, friends, needlepoint, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and community.

I was diagnosed with MS in 2005 and with RA in 2007, the same year I began blogging which has become one of my greatest hobbies and sources of outreach and support. My blog began as a way to voice my opinions on health policy and health insurance. Once I began to interact with other bloggers who live with multiple sclerosis, I found a vibrant community of individuals willing to share their lives online.

I founded the Carnival of MS Bloggers at the beginning of 2008 which has led to numerous opportunities that have allowed me to educate, encourage, and empower others, while I am also educated, encouraged, and empowered. If I have a philosophy of life, it might be summed up by the following words...
